Singapore, 27 June 2018 – Come September, K-pop fans in the region can look forward to the event of the year – HallyuPopFest 2018, the biggest K-pop music festival of its scale organised in Southeast Asia. Held at the Singapore Indoor Stadium from 7 to 9 September, Friday to Sunday, the music extravaganza will welcome over 100 K-pop Idols. Fans can keep their eyes peeled for a line-up of exciting performances from Wanna One, TAEYEON, BTOB, Apink, MOMOLAND, NCT 127 and many more. The three-day K-pop festival will be hosted by Korean-American Singer-Songwriter, Eric Nam.

Introducing a new way to watch K-pop!

Besides the sensational evening performances, for the first time in Singapore, K-pop fans will be treated to three full days of Hallyu fun. Dispensing with the single-act-evening-concert format, notable highlights of HallyuPopFest 2018 include daily free afternoon showcase performances and red-carpet fan events, while premium ticket holders will have a once-in-a-lifetime chance to see and touch their favourite idols up close.

Wanna One, TAEYEON and NCT 127 among the 21 Groups

Wanna One will be returning to Singapore for a special 2-part performance over the first two nights of the festival. This may be Wanna One’s last appearance here in Singapore as a band, as they are slated to go their separate ways at the end of the year. Joining the artiste line-up are TAEYEON, who will be making her first solo appearance in Singapore, and NCT 127, who will be headlining Sunday’s evening performance.

Global Auditions with Top Korean Entertainment Companies

As part of the HallyuPopFest 2018 festival line-up, three of Korea’s biggest K-Entertainment companies – Cube Entertainment, Starship Entertainment and Jellyfish Entertainment will be holding individual global auditions on different days of the festival. This is the first collaborative partnership between H.A.H. Entertainment and the three companies, and the Head of Recruitment from the respective agencies will personally be in town to search for budding talents in the region.

For many young individuals who dream of becoming K-pop stars themselves, ticket holders will be granted a rare chance to audition for top Korean entertainment companies. The three K-Entertainment companies will be holding their global auditions to look for talents in the vocal, dance and acting categories. Global auditions of this magnitude is unprecedented, and will be helmed by the companies that were behind major successes such as HyunA, Pentagon, Soyou, Monsta X, BTOB, Lee Kwang-soo and Lee Dong-wook. Ms Selena Ho, CEO of H.A.H. Entertainment says, “It is our honour and privilege to collaborate with a multitude of outstanding musicians, professionals and companies from South Korea to bring this ground-breaking event to Singapore. This region has an ever-expanding fan base of Korean pop culture in line with the Hallyu Wave, and it continues to be a part of our everyday lives. It is our greatest pleasure to be able to bring Southeast Asians fans closer to these iconic Korean superstars.”
